All machines supplied by Voortman Steel Machinery are equipped with our VACAM software. With this software, the possibilities for additional options on the machine are almost endless. That is why our Product and Sales Managers are currently working on determining our "standard" software. What is the basis of our software package and where do the options start?
Product Manager Harmen Kastenberg says: “It is in Voortman's DNA to serve our customers as well as possible. So we deliver our machines as complete as possible. But as already mentioned, the possibilities in the field of software are very extensive. And not all customers use all the options the software offers. We are therefore working on personalized software packages, which we put together according to the wishes of the customer. We can then add a web application or an app on a mobile device.” The most important question here is always: what does our customer need? Both in terms of the hardware and the software of the machine. Rather than selling him a "standard" machine, we work towards delivering machines that meet the specific wishes and requirements of the customer. We do this by offering "separate" software packages.
At the same time, our software engineers are working hard on innovations that allow us to further improve our machines and systems. Harmen Kastenberg: “The developments in the field of software in recent years are gigantic! Our software engineers keep coming up with new smart features to further optimize production processes.” A good example of such a new development are the screens that customers can hang near the discharge zone of the machine. These screens inform the end user in a simple and effective way about the products in the discharge zone. The result is that operators can perform their work more efficiently and therefore machines work more efficiently.
