On behalf of Wijnen Bouw Someren B.V., a construction company, VSC supplied and assembled 4,000 tonnes of steel at the Trade Port Noord business park in Venlo. It was for the new vidaXL distribution centre, consisting of an office and several warehouses, totalling 105,000 m2 of floor space.
Wijnen Bouw B.V. and Voortman also built the European distribution centre together for Michael Kors, a fashion designer. We asked Mr Henk Hubert, project lead on behalf of Wijnen Bouw, why he chose Voortman for this project again and how he felt about the partnership. He says: “For this project we were looking for a reliable partner that was able to keep to its agreements in terms of delivery and assembly moments within the tight schedule. That is why we chose Voortman Steel Construction. We found the partnership with Voortman a very positive experience. The schedule was established jointly at the preparatory phase and we came to clear agreements. We assess the work delivered with a mark of 9+. As far as we are concerned, the partnership is certainly worth a repeat performance!”
