Many years of manufacturing steel processing machinery and realising steel constructions brought us a lot of knowhow in various market segments. And we are more than willing to share this knowledge with our customers. Therefore, we think it is important for our employees to dispose of the specific knowledge necessary for their activities.


Knowledge transfer takes place both inside and outside our organisation. For example, in our own Experience Center, we organise training for users of the steel processing machines produced by Voortman Steel Machinery. And at Voortman Steel Construction we apply the knowledge we acquired during previous projects to future projects.

Investing in knowledge

Inside our organisation, knowledge transfer is also one of our priorities. We invest in our employees by offering them several possibilities for education. For example, we recently organised a training called Personal Leadership. Another example is the Voortman Traineeship for students with a bachelor or master degree.

Further, we invest in future employees. We have been a partner of REMO West-Twente, a regional centre for electrical engineering and metalworking education, for years. We contribute to their mechatronics education by placing a machine at the students’ disposal and by giving advice on engineering.
